Event Tickets Terms & Conditions

WARNING! Motorsport can be dangerous.  Despite the organisers taking all reasonable precautions, unavoidable accidents can happen.  In respect of these you are present at your own risk.

  • Your ticket has a unique QR code, please present the QR code for scanning at the entrance gate to gain admission.  Each visitor will require their own ticket.
  • The date of the Event and the Event programme and content may be subject to change by the event organiser or Knockhill Racing Circuit Ltd (KRC). 
  • Strictly no dogs or animals permitted to the venue or car parks. 
  • Tickets are not refundable but they can be transferred to another event date of the same or lesser value, if the event ticket has a higher value the difference can be paid.  The transfer must be complete 7 days prior to the event date.  
  • Tickets are strictly not to be offered for resale, tickets must only be used for personal or private use. 
  • Adult tickets are valid for persons aged 17 years old and over.
  • 65yrs + tickets, should be purchased by all visitors aged 65 and over.
  • Teen 13-16yrs tickets, for teenagers
  • Child ticket, for 0 - 12 yrs, FREE admission
  • Disabled ticket for registered disabled.  A free of charge carers ticket may be requested.
  • KRC reserves the right to refuse admission and to remove persons from the venue who do not comply with the venue rules or these terms and conditions. 
  • The use of drones is prohibited. 
  • KRC, the event marshals, officials, rescue or medical staff and competitors are not responsible for any loss or damage howsoever caused to ticket holders, to the maximum extent permitted by law.  Despite organisers taking all reasonable precautions unavoidable accidents can happen.  In respect of these, you are present at your own risk. 
  • During the event the noise level may be very loud, ticket holders are advised to wear hearing protection during races and any live music or entertainment to reduce the risk of hearing damage. 
  • Parking is at owner’s risk.  Any vehicles left in a no parking zone will be removed and KRC cannot accept any liability whatsoever.

Experience Terms & Conditions
Licences
A valid UK or European driving licence is required for all driving experiences excluding Teen Drive and Passenger Rides. For driving activities, excluding Teen Drive, you must present your driving licence on the day of your experience (copied or photographs not permitted).  
What to Wear
Dress for outdoors and wear casual, comfortable clothing with flat soled footwear, jeans and trainers are ideal. High heels, sandals and flip flops are not permitted.  Where an Experience requires a crash helmet (provided by us) to be worn, this requirement is mandatory and we will not accept any exceptions.

Before the Event
You will be sent a registration document and link to watch a safety briefing video, please complete this at home before your experience.
Arranging a date for your experience
You can arrange a date for your experience by telephone or via our website. If your voucher is not already booked into a date, you can scan the QR code displayed on your voucher or follow the link below. Prebooking is essential, all dates are subject to numbers and availability. 
Arrival
Please arrive in plenty of time for your experience; late arrivals may invalidate your booking.  No animals (other than guide dogs) are permitted on the venue.  
Voucher validity
Your driving experience gift voucher is supplied with an expiry date; you can find this printed on your voucher or e-voucher. If you need to extend the date, you may do so for up to 6 calendar months. The cost to do this is £10 per additional month. Unfortunately we are not able to accept bookings after the 6 additional months.
Upgrading your voucher
You can do this easily at any time within the validity period of your voucher by calling the sales and booking team on 01383 723337 to discuss the options.
Making a cancellation to your booking
If you need to rearrange a confirmed date we are happy to do this for you at no extra charge on one occasion provided you give us 14 days notice.Cancellations made with less than 14 days notice will be charged at £20.  If you do not attend your confirmed booking date a 50% additional rebooking fee will apply if you wish to reschedule.
Descriptions and timings
We aim to be as accurate as possible with our descriptions and durations. Where the duration of an experience is quoted in literature, on our website or by our sales and booking team, this is an approximate time and is given to you as a guide.You will normally take part in your experience along with other participants and coaching may be shared. There will be some waiting time included in the experience duration.

Participation Competency
Whilst we pride ourselves on our safety standards, the very nature of driving experiences means that, despite us taking all reasonable precautions, some personal risk of injury is involved in taking part in the activities we offer. By attending our driving experiences, participants acknowledge this and confirm that they are aware of the nature of the activity and attend the venue at their own risk. It is a condition of participation in our activities that the driver does not suffer from, and has no history of, any medical condition that may result in the suspension of a DVLA driving licence.    

Consumption of alcohol or drugs which may impair ability to participate in the activity, either before or during the activity, is not permitted. We may refuse participation in an activity to anyone we suspect to be under the influence of alcohol and/or drugs (whether prescribed or otherwise).

For any experiences driving the single seater Formula Racing cars, there are limitations on height / weight to drive these cars.  Suitable for anyone 5ft2 to 6ft4, with a max weight of around 18 stone.  Anyone smaller or taller than this should contact us prior to arrival 01383 723337.  

Refunds
For your peace of mind you can return your voucher to us within 7 days of receipt for a full refund. All refunds will be made to the person who purchased the voucher and will be refunded directly by the original payment method. After the 7 day period you may transfer the voucher to an alternative driver. A replacement driver will be accepted at any time up to the point of registration of your confirmed date.
Alternatively, you can use the value of your voucher towards any other experience, event or product from Knockhill Racing Circuit. The original validity period will apply to the transferred event or experience.

The weather
Although we are normally unaffected by the weather, there can be no guarantee that a date will not be withdrawn due to extreme/adverse  weather conditions or any other event beyond our control. If we are unable to run your experience as arranged, we will attempt to contact you with as much notice as possible. Please ensure you have provided us with current mobile telephone numbers and email addresses. Your experience can be rearranged within 3 months of your original date or within the original validity period of your voucher.

Gift Vouchers

Trackday Terms & Conditions: Cars

Trackday Terms & Conditions

Licences

To take part in a trackday, all drivers must hold one of the following valid licences and comply with the relevant regulations:

Cars

DVLA Road Licence – You must have a full, unrestricted licence (not provisional). Your licence must be valid and issued by the DVLA or the equivalent licensing authority if you’re from outside the UK.  The appropriate category must be clearly indicated on the licence.

MSA National B (or higher) race licence valid in the current year.  Drivers must be 17yrs+.

No Licence = No Track Driving– You must bring your licence on the day so our team can check it before you head out on track.

Vehicle types permitted

Cars 

Road Cars – Your vehicle must meet MOT minimum standards for road use or comply with MSA current safety regulations for track cars. It should be in good mechanical and body condition and fit for purpose on track.

Seatbelts – All cars, regardless of age, must have working seatbelts.

Ongoing Maintenance – It’s your responsibility to ensure your car remains in a safe and roadworthy condition throughout the event, in the interest of your safety and that of others on track.

Open-Wheel & Single-Seaters – These vehicles are not permitted on car trackdays.

Noise limits

The noise limit is 105dB.  All vehicles must comply with this limit and may be tested statically by our team.  


What to Wear

Your safety on track is our top priority, and having the right gear is essential for a safe and enjoyable experience.

    • All drivers and passengers must wear a suitable clothing to ensure that they have their legs covered at all times whilst on circuit.
    • Drivers and passengers should all wear crash helmets (which may be hired on the day) that comply with current Motorsport UK/FIA/ACU/FIM standards.
    • In the case of open top vehicles, drivers must wear a full-face helmet) that complies with current Motorsport UK/FIA/ACU/FIM standards.

Filming 

For those wanting to record their experience, any filming equipment must be secured inside the vehicle and may be inspected prior to track session.  Hand held or helmet cameras are NOT permitted.

By following these requirements, you’ll be fully prepared for a safe, fun, and memorable visit to Knockhill.

Before the Event
You will be sent a registration document and link to watch a safety briefing video, please complete this at home before your experience. On the day you will register at the venue and present your licence for inspection.  You will attend a compulsory briefing prior to going out on track.

Need to Change Your Date?
You can reschedule once to a new date if you provide at least 3 full days’ notice by phone.

 Late Cancellations & No-Shows

·         Changes requested after the 3-day window will incur a 50% re-booking fee.

·         No changes can be made on the day of your trackday.

·         If you do not attend your booked trackday, your booking will be forfeited, and no refunds will be given.

Trackday Cancellation

If Knockhill Racing Circuit Ltd is forced to abandon a trackday (e.g., due to adverse weather), the following credit will be offered:

✅ Track time not started – 75% credit
✅ 25% or less of the event completed – 50% credit
✅ 26%-49% of the event completed – 25% credit
✅ 50% or more of the event completed – No credit

Credits can be used towards a future booking at Knockhill Racing Circuit.

We always aim to run our trackdays as planned, but safety comes first. If in doubt, please contact us before your event 01383 723337.

Trackday Terms & Conditions: Bikes

Bike Trackday Terms & Conditions

Licences

To take part in a trackday, all riders must hold one of the following valid licences and comply with the relevant regulations:

DVLA Road Licence – You must have a full, unrestricted Category A motorcycle licence (A2 licences are not accepted). Your licence must be valid and issued by the DVLA or the equivalent licensing authority if you’re from outside the UK.

SACU or ACU Race Licence – Race licence holders aged 17+ may participate on a motorcycle they are permitted to race under SACU/ACU regulations (up to 400cc). Riders under 17 are not eligible for trackdays.

No Licence = No Track Driving– You must bring your licence on the day so our team can check it before you head out on track.

Vehicle types permitted

Bikes

Any motorcycle over 400cc can be used on a trackday, but it must meet the following standards: 

Road Bikes – Must conform to MOT minimum standards for road use.

Track & Race Bikes – Should comply with the safety regulations set by the governing body.

General Condition – All bikes must be well-maintained, safe, and suitable for track use. It’s your responsibility to ensure your motorcycle remains in this condition for the entire event.

Rear Brake Light – If your bike has one, it must be in full working order.

Check your bike before arriving to make sure it’s ready for the start of your tracktime.

Noise limits

What to Wear
Essential Bike Trackday Clothing

Your safety on track is our top priority, and having the right gear is essential for a safe and enjoyable experience.

·         full leather one-piece suit or a fully zipped-together two-piece leather suit. The zip must cover your torso with no gap between the jacket and trousers when fastened.

·         An ACU gold-sticker-approved full-face helmet.

·         Motorcycle gloves that provide full wrist coverage.

·         Motorcycle boots that provide full ankle protection.

·         A full-length back protector is mandatory.  Alternatively, you may wear leathers equipped with airbag technology.

·         While leathers are strongly recommended, some EU-approved Kevlar or textile suits are permitted if they are two-piece and zip together fully.

All equipment must be in good condition and fit for purpose. Our team will carry out safety checks and reserves the right to deny track access if any equipment does not meet the required standards.

Filming

For those wanting to record their experience, all filming equipment must be securely mounted to the motorcycle using a purpose-designed bracketCameras or brackets are NOT permitted on the helmet, rider’s body, leathers, or motorcycle tank.

Karting Terms & Conditions

Exclusivity and descriptions - Your karting event may be shared with another group or groups of drivers. We aim to be as accurate as possible with our descriptions and durations. Where the duration of an experience or is quoted in any literature or by us, it is an approximate time and given to you as a guide.

The weather - Although we are normally unaffected by the weather, there can be no guarantee that a date will not be withdrawn due to extreme/adverse weather conditions or any other event beyond our control. If we are unable to provide your experience as arranged, we will attempt to contact you with as much notice as possible. Please ensure you have provided us with current mobile telephone numbers and email addresses. 

What to Wear - Please ensure you have long sleeves and full-length trousers. Your footwear should have flat soles and closed toes; trainers or flat slim boots are ideal. High heels, sandals and flip flops are not permitted. A race suit may be provided, these can be worn over your own clothing. We also provide waterproof suits on rainy days.

Arrival - It is important that you arrive at least 30 minutes prior to the start time of your event; late arrival may Invalidate your booking or reduce your track time.

Driver Guidelines

  • All drivers are required to watch the pre event briefing prior to the karting event. You should register and complete an indemnity form online by following the links provided within your booking confirmation email.  
  • Drivers under the age of 16 years will require a parent or guardian to complete their indemnity form. 
  • The physical design and size of our Karts may be a limiting factor for some drivers. If you are concerned about this, you can visit us anytime pre event and become accustomed with our Karts and ensure you can safely operate the controls.
  • Cadet Karts are available for kids aged 8-11 years and a minimum height of 4'2" (127cm). Young drivers must be able to operate the pedals safely and satisfactorily. Pro Karts are available for junior drivers aged 12 years plus and adults. The minimum height for pro karts is 5'2" (157cm)
  • Karting is not recommended if you are pregnant, have heart or breathing difficulties, back or neck problems or are considered to have a nervous disposition.
  • The use of alcohol or drugs prior to or during your karting event is strictly forbidden.
  • We ask that all drivers conduct themselves in a reasonable manner both on and off track, any driver found to have caused damage or harm to equipment or other drivers will be excluded from the remainder of the event.
  • Please fully comply with the instructions and advice from our staff, we are here to help and for your enjoyment and safety.
