Championships decided at the final race weekend of 2026 at Knockhill.
Championships will be decided this weekend at Knockhill, with only the Scottish ModSports already having a champion with Adam Morrison leading the way. Elsewhere, in the Scottish Mini Cooper Cup, Jack Irvine leads the way from Chad Little and Michael Williams, the Scottish Fiesta ST Cup has Gerry Hendry in a strong position ahead of Jamie Dickie and Kieran Preedy.
The Scottish C1 Cup has the closest position as the top with three contenders spread by only 25 points with Marc Nisbet, Ayden Wilson and Gregor McPhaden all in contention. The final SMRC championship, the Scottish Classic Sports and Saloons has Adam Kinmond, Alastair Baptie and Ian Moton separated by only 40 points.
In the largest races of the weekend, the Scottish Legends Cars Championship, Matthew Pape and Michael Weddell all set to battle for the top step, however, there is a Legends debutant within the grid who will be out to mix things up a bit!
Steven Dailly, 34 from Wallyford near Edinburgh, is best known for his success in the BMW Compact Cup in which has eclipsed any other national racing driver, and this weekend, Steven takes to the Knockhill track in a Scottish Legends race car.
Overall Steven has recorded an amazing 59 wins, 98 podiums and 22 poles from 112 starts. His major awards and championship achievements included being the 2015 Scottish BMW Compact Cup Champion when he won all 16 rounds. He was the BRSCC 2017 Compact Cup Champion, and in 2021, when he won for the fifth time, he was named the Autosport No 1 Club Driver of the Year!
Steven said "Absolutely delighted to announce that KC Motorsport and I have made the jump and purchased this beautiful Legend car, with the aim of taking on the 2027 Scottish Legends Cars Championship. It’s a completely new chapter for us and one I’m seriously excited to get started with. A lot to learn, plenty of hard work ahead, but I can’t wait to see what we can do this weekend".
Stuart Gray, the Knockhill Director of Events and Chairman of the Knockhill Motor Sports Club said, "We are all really looking forward to this weekend as championships will be decided, champagne will flow and for others, it will be tears of agony as they just miss out on their championship dreams".
"We are intrigued to see the debut of Steven Dailly in the Legends and with his pedigree, and mixed up grids, it will be fascinating to see how he progresses over the six races as he has to start off the back being new to the class. We are also delighted to welcome the Global Lights sports cars from Ireland again in what promises to be a busy weekend of action".
