12 Scots Ready For BSB Battle

The 2026 ZYN British Superbike Championship gets underway this weekend at Oulton Park, and Scottish fans have plenty to follow across the full BSB paddock.

A huge Scottish presence will line up across the ZYN British Superbike paddock this season, with 12 Scots competing across the main championship and support classes.

From established names chasing podiums to the next generation building momentum, Scottish riders are set to be in the mix across the weekend as the 2026 season begins at Oulton Park.

Rory Skinner ready for BSB challenge

Perth-based Rory Skinner enjoyed a positive and progressive pre-season test with Cheshire Mouldings Yamaha, running consistently inside the top ten across the two days.

Rory improved throughout the test, placing as high as sixth in one of the day two sessions before finishing eighth overall. That result also made him the second-fastest Yamaha rider, giving Scottish fans plenty of encouragement ahead of the season opener.

Now on his fifth different bike in five seasons, Rory heads into 2026 with strong pre-season pace and growing confidence. All eyes will be on him this weekend, and there will be plenty of hope that the Saltires are flying when BSB arrives at Knockhill in June.

Scots showing strength across the support classes

Across the support classes, Scottish riders also delivered a series of strong pre-season performances.

In the Pirelli British Sportbike Championship, Adon Davie from Prestonpans showed impressive pace among the front runners, while Lennon Docherty from Lochore made steady progress across the sessions and secured a solid overall result.

The Pirelli National Superstock Championship was a real highlight for Scotland, with Declan Connell from Dunfermline topping the overall test standings after an impressive display of speed and consistency. He was joined by fellow Scot Lewis Rollo from Gifford, riding for Motorrad Central Dalkeith, who also delivered a composed and competitive performance, including a session-topping run and an overall podium finish. Callum Bey from Huntly will also join the championship this weekend.

In the Quattro Group British Supersport Championship, Oliver Barr from Newton Stewart showed front-running potential with a confident test and regular appearances near the top of the timesheets. In the Supersport Cup class, Keo Walker from Kinghorn delivered a determined and consistent performance across the sessions.

Next generation making their mark

The next generation of Scottish talent is also ready to make an impact.

Jack Dunabie from Maybole produced a consistent and competitive showing in the R&G Moto4 British Cup, while Tyler Humphries from Montrose continued his development with a solid test, building pace and gaining valuable experience across the two days.

They will be joined at Oulton Park this weekend by Charlie Cunningham from Leven, who begins his campaign after missing the pre-season test.

In the 1P Mobile Junior Sportbike Championship, Marley Mackenzie from Aberlady stood out with a dominant performance, topping the overall standings and laying down an early marker ahead of the new season.

The countdown to Knockhill is on

With strong performances across the classes and momentum building throughout the paddock, Scotland’s riders head into the 2026 ZYN British Superbike Championship in confident form.

The season begins this weekend at Oulton Park, but the countdown to Knockhill is already well underway.

Knockhill hosts Round 3 from 19th–21st June, and if this early form continues, we could see Saltires flying and hear “Scotland the Brave” around the circuit once again.
