Ryde and Redding Dominate BSB Knockhill

22 Mon Jun 2026 by Knockhill

The trip north of the border to Knockhill Racing Circuit (19th–21st June 2026) delivered a spectacular weekend of ZYN British Superbike Championship action. Soaring track temperatures and fierce bar-to-bar battles kept thousands of fans on the edge of their seats across the hills of Fife.

Here is how the weekend unfolded.

Race 1: Ryde Strikes First Amid Heartbreak for Ray

Saturday’s opening 30-lap feature race was a war of attrition. Championship leader Kyle Ryde (Nitrous Competitions Racing Ducati) and a flying Bradley Ray (McAMS Yamaha) broke away early, trading fastest laps at the front.

Heartbreak struck for Ray with just four laps remaining; a technical issue forced him into retirement whilst well within striking distance of the win. Ryde cruised home to victory, with Scott Redding capturing second for the Hager PBM Racing Team.

Behind them, Glenn Irwin put on a defensive masterclass to hold off Ryan Vickers for an emotional third place exactly one year to the day since his severe 2025 injury. Home hero Rory Skinner sent the local crowd wild by fighting through to a brilliant 5th place.

Race 2: Ryde Doubles Up as Ray Rebounds

Sunday afternoon’s race was thrown into unpredictability on lap four when a multi-rider crash at the Hairpin brought out the Safety Car.

Upon the restart, Kyle Ryde asserted his dominance, but he was shadowed every inch of the way by a determined Bradley Ray, desperate to make amends for Saturday’s DNF. Ryde held strong to secure his second win of the weekend, with Ray taking a hard-earned second place and Redding completing the podium in third.

Race 3: Red Flags and Redding’s Revenge

The final feature race was shortened to 25 laps following an early red flag. On the restart, Bradley Ray launched into an early lead, under intense pressure from Redding, Ryde, and Vickers.

On lap 14, Scott Redding made a decisive, bold dive down the inside at the iconic Knockhill Hairpin to snatch the lead. Once out front, Redding pulled clear to claim a commanding victory. Ray held on for another excellent second place, while Ryde overcame a draining sickness bug to fight off Vickers for third. Rory Skinner capped off a highly consistent weekend with another fantastic 5th-place finish.

The Championship Standings

Leaving Scotland, Kyle Ryde maintains his grip on the top of the standings with 154 points. Scott Redding closes the gap in second with 133 points, whilst Leon Haslam sits third (108) just one point ahead of Bradley Ray (107).

The paddock now heads south to Snetterton, but the thrilling action at Knockhill will live long in the memory!
