Dexter Patterson scoops prestigious BTCC Jack Sears Trophy at Silverstone with 5 rounds still to go!
The Jack Sears Trophy was introduced into the BTCC in 2013 and named after the man who won the inaugural title back in 1958. It goes to the top driver without a BTCC podium at season start. Recent leading winners have been Josh Cook in 2015, Ash Sutton in 2016, our own Rory Butcher in 2019, and Dan Rowbottom in 2021.
But home favourite Dexter Patterson won the award last weekend at Silverstone with five scoring rounds remaining, a remarkable achievement to win it so early.
Top job Dexter, and his team, and let's hope it's the start of even bigger and better things in 2027.
