Knockhill is poised to make Scottish motorsport history on Saturday 26th September as the Classic Sports Car Club heads north of the border to deliver the our first ever night car races.
A bumper entry of over 120 classic sports and saloon cars will trigger a full day of track action. Fans can expect door handling competition across a vast spread of machinery, including Tin Tops, Swinging 60s, Jaguars, Future Classics, and Morgans.
The main drama unfolds as dusk falls over the circuit. Around 6:00 PM, marshals and officials will ready the track for full darkness before drivers head out into the night. Two evening qualifying sessions will set the grid for pair of feature 40 minute races, complete with compulsory driver pitstops, culminating in a dramatic finish at approximately 9:30 PM.
Reflecting on the landmark fixture, Knockhill Events Director Stuart Gray highlighted the unique appeal of racing under lights:
"To see car racing under full dark conditions will be a first for everyone in Scotland, and something everyone at Knockhill is looking forward to. This event is really special in its own way and simply not to be missed by fans of four wheeled sport."
