Summary

We are delighted to be welcoming back our friends from the Classic Sports Car Club and their competitors for Scotland's first day into the night race meeting. After a full day of championship racing on Saturday, 26th September, drivers, officials and marshals will stand down as dusk approaches, taking a break before taking to the track under full night conditions.

The sight and sound of a wide variety of classic cars racing in daylight will be replaced with race cars with headlights on, glowing disk brakes and flaming exhausts! A unqiue feature to add to the challenges for all taking part.

The CSCC brought their superb range of classic sports and saloon championships north of the border in 2021 featuring their Modern Classics, Future Classics, New Millennium Classics and Tin Tops. The classes for 2026 are now confirmed and a full listing is provided below.

The Classic K Series

Midland Classic Restorations Ecurie Classic K

The Midland Classic Restorations Ecurie Classic K series is for pre 1966 GT and Touring cars running to FIA Appendix K (no sports racers).

Mike Hawthorn Jaguar Challenge

The CSCC Mike Hawthorn Jaguar Challenge is a series for various pre-1961 Jaguar cars, running to a period specification, including Mk1, Mk2 and XK models.

Swinging 60's Series

Adams & Page Swinging 60's

The Adams & Page Swinging 60's series is for all Sports, Saloons and GT cars originally produced in the 1950's and 1960's, with cars up to end of 1977 running on carburettors.

Future Classics Series

Advantage Motorsport Future Classics

The Advantage Motorsport Future Classics series is for Sports, Saloons and GT cars (with doors) from the 1970's and 1980's. 1970's BCV8, Group 1, Group 2 and Group 4 cars, in addition to rally cars are welcomed.

Modern Classics Series

SuperPro Modern Classics

The SuperPro Modern Classics series is designed for most production Saloon, Hatchback, Sports and GT models produced up to the end of 1999.

This exciting championship is for most production based Jaguar saloon and GT models.

Tin Top Series

Co-ordSport Tin Tops

The Co-ordSport Tin Tops is for Saloon and Hatchback cars with an engine capacity upto 2 litres, 4 cylinder (non turbo/supercharged, except diesel) of any age. Mazda RX-8 rotary cars also have a dedicated class within this series.

Puma Cup

A one make, closely controlled series for the 1.7 Ford Puma.

Turbo Tin Tops Series

Fox Transport Turbo Tin Tops

The Fox Transport Turbo Tin Tops series is exclusively for front wheel drive, turbo and supercharged cars.

New Millennium Series

WOSP New Millennium

The WOSP New Millennium series is designed for post year 2000 production-based cars (and their racing variants) and for cars that are deemed to be "in the spirit of the regulations", for example, older cars running non-standard aero or sequential gearboxes.

The Verum Builders Open series is designed for all production Saloon, Sevens,
Hatchback, Sports and GT cars, of any age.

Event Info

The Classic Sports Car Club returns to Knockhill in 2026 for Scotland’s first day into night race meeting.
