Summary

We are delighted to be welcoming back our friends from the Classic Sports Car Club and their competitors for Scotland's first day into the night race meeting. After a full day of championship racing on Saturday, 26th September, drivers, officials and marshals will stand down as dusk approaches, taking a break before taking to the track under full night conditions. 

The sight and sound of a wide variety of classic cars racing in daylight will be replaced with race cars with headlights on, glowing disk brakes and flaming exhausts! A unqiue feature to add to the challenges for all taking part.

The CSCC brought their superb range of classic sports and saloon championships north of the border in 2021 featuring their Modern Classics, Future Classics, New Millennium Classics and Tin Tops. The confirmed classes for 2026 are to be confirmed, but expect a similar mix of championships with local racers welcome to join in this unique event.

Event Info

The Classic Sports Car Club returns to Knockhill in 2026 for Scotland’s first day into night race meeting. After a full day of racing on Saturday 26th September, the track will fall briefly quiet at dusk before the action resumes under full night conditions, with headlights, glowing brakes, and flaming exhausts creating a dramatic and unforgettable spectacle.

The CSCC last visited in 2021 with a fantastic mix of classic sports and saloon championships. Classes for 2026 are still to be confirmed, but fans can expect a similar variety of machinery on track, with local racers welcome to join this unique and atmospheric event.

  • A full selection of CSCC championships racing during the day
  • Two grids will qualify and race at night
  • Darkness falls around 6.30pm with race action concluding around 9.30pm
  • Scottish racers invited to join the event to add local interest!

Initially formed in 1990 and then rejuvenated in 2011 to host KMSC/Scottish Championship race meetings. The Knockhill Motor Sports Club has gone from strength to strength since then developing it’s own Super Lap Scotland Championship to hosting visiting race series from up and down the country. The Club continues to innovate and trial new racing formats catering for over 350 members whilst encouraging up and coming motorsport enthusiasts to get involved.

Knockhill Racing Circuit, Scotland’s only approved MSA and FIA Internationally graded Motor sports Circuit, hosting major televised motorsport events. The 1.3 mile (2km) track, 30 ft (10m) wide, with a unique series of twists, drops and climbs varying by around 200 ft (60m) from highest to lowest point is the licenced to run Clockwise and Anti-Clockwise configuration giving competitors in Scotland a second circuit and a unique challenge. The picturesque setting just 30 minutes from Edinburgh and 45 minutes from Glasgow, the circuit boasts stunning views over to the Firth of Forth, the Ochil hills and in the distance Wallace Monument.

Kinnaird’s Bistro offers a varied selection of home-cooked meals, drinks and refreshments; Paddock Cafe & Bar offers a selection of breakfast and fast food items. The Paddock Cafe and Bar also has a licensed bar. Both have limited sit-in capacity and grab-and-go options. At events, mobile food outlets will be available throughout the venue - dependent on the size and scale of the event.
