Knockhill to celebrate its 50th anniversary in style at the Bennetts British Superbikes June 14th – 16th

The Knockhill 50th Anniversary Super Prix at the Bennetts British Superbikes round in June will be one of the highlights of Scotland’s biggest bike sport event of the year. Tens of thousands of fans will flock to the National Motorsport Centre as BennettsBSB brings some of the best riders and teams in the world to Fife which this year features the return of Scotland’s star rider Rory Skinner from Perth amongst a stellar entry list.

However, the event organisers are thrilled to announce the Knockhill 50th Anniversary Super Prix races which will see legends of British bike sport compete head-to-head each day on 2-stroke GP racing bikes from the 70s and 80s. This one-off feature will stir the memories of racing from yesteryear and is sure to be a highlight of this fabulous racing weekend.

Stuart Gray, Knockhill’s Director of Events said ” We are honoured that the Bennetts British Superbikes event will host the 50th Anniversary Super Prix to help mark our 50 years of hosting bike sport in Scotland. From our opening in 1974 to 2024, bike racing has attracted some of our biggest crowds and provided the best racing action and it is understandable why our crowd comes not only from all four Home Nations but many from Europe too, such is the spectacle and appeal of the BSB at Knockhill. The Super Prix will relive those early days with the sight, sound and unique smell of racing bikes from the 70s and 80s, being so evocative and memorable”.
