Knockhill to Host a Round of F1 World championship!

Scotland’s National Motorsport Centre, the Famous Knockhill Racing circuit near Dunfermline in Fife, is gearing up to host what is probably the most prestigious stock car race meeting ever held in Scotland , on Sunday the 15th of June.

The Tri-oval Section of the 1-3 mile British Championship circuit will be the arena for round 15 of the F1 stock car World Championship with a full line up of the top drivers from the UK and Europe preparing to battle it out.

Powered by mighty American V8 engines, the F1 cars are not only extremely fast but will also be awesomely noisy as they bellow and burn rubber around the testing, tricky, cambered oval race track.

Stock Cars at Knockhill in June

The appropriately named “Bumper Trophy” with it’s 30 year history will be presented by the British Stock car drivers association at the Knockhill meeting whilst the 7th staging of the Millers Oils Knockhill Challenge Trophy will be contested on the Grand final event at Knockhill.

A real bonus for a lucky few of the loyal and enthusiastic spectators at Knockhill will be the chance of a lifetime to WIN a passenger ride to remember in a specially modified 2 seater monster F1 “STOCKIE”.

On the same day, Knockhill Karting are hosting a special Father’s Day Karting Challenge with the winning Father and Child pairing also being awarded with a dizzying blast around the Tri-oval Track.

The stupendous, 2 day stock car spectacular will be shared with Cowdenbeath Race wall, (also home to Cowdenbeath FC), With the full race programme kicking off there on the evening of the Saturday the 14th June, with the action moving 8 miles west across Fife to Knockhill Racing Circuit on the Sunday. Gates open at 11:00 am with race action from 13:00.
