High flying Hobbs shakes up the Mini grid

Superstock star Dennis Hobbs have given the other 15 Mini racers something to think about as he popped in 63.9second lap in his first timed runs this morning. The time is around half a second off the sharp end of the grid and as he gets to know the car more, his pace should become even quicker.

Event Director Stuart Gray said “Dennis has taken to the Mini with ease. To put in such a competitve time, so early in his track time is amazing. I’m really looking forward to his three races. With all his racecraft and experience on two wheels, and knowledge of Knockhill, it will be interesting to see how it all pans out over the weekend. I think a few of the regulars will have their mirrors full of the No 1 car!”

Dennis is racing at 1.25pm and 5.40pm today and 11.15am tomorrow, with the busy event racing timetable starting at 1.05pm today (Saturday) and 8.30am on Sunday. Gates will open at 7.30am on Sunday with adult admission £5 today and £15 on Sunday. The British GTs are qualifying on Sunday (following 2 hours of track time today) and have two one hour races at 11.45am and 4pm.
