ACU UK Classic Championship at Knockhill

A fantastic weekend of classic action concluded at Knockhill Racing Circuit today (Sunday 13th July). The 35 race programme which saw 193 competitors enter, produced some excellent racing and plenty of incident for avid fans.

This weekend also heralds a new era for classic bike racing in the UK as the Classic Championship is now officially recognised by the governing body of Motorcycle Racing in the UK.

“It’s been a thrilling weekend of motorsport here at Knockhill and a significant one too. For this is the first time a wholly Classic meeting has taken place at Knockhill since the 90’s,” commented Stuart Gray, Knockhill Events Director.

“A big thanks to the Classic Racing Motorcycle Club (CRMC) and everyone invloved in bringing this Championship back to Knockhill, we’d certainly be delighted to welcome them back next year,” continued Gray.

The Classic Championship now moves onto the Anglesey Coastal Circuit on 11th July for rounds 3 & 4 of the championship. More information can be found on the CRMC webiste.
