BUMPER TURN OUT FOR KNOCKHILL CLUB OPEN MEETING

In excess of 75 people turned up for the first ever open forum meeting for the Knockhill Motor Sports Club yesterday consisting of current racers, new and retired solo racers, sidecar competitors and marshals and others interested to hear what the Club are aiming to do.  Club Chairman Stuart Gray said at the meeting “Considering the Club has just been formed and its mid January, we were thrilled and delighted that so many people took time to come to Knockhill to hear the thoughts of the Committee representatives. We are striving to offer better value for money, more racing laps and a better spectacle and interest for all, thereby rejuvenating the bike racing at Knockhill. There was no doubt that the racers want value for their entry fee, and with the Club having a new opportunity to deliver new formats and timetables, that is exactly what we aim to do.”

The Club will draw together the consensus from the meeting and relevant comments that were made and will be in a position to flesh out the details of the 4 dates planned for 2011 shortly so that riders have the most amount of time to get ready for the start of the Knockhill Club Championship. Stuart added, “With such a turn out, at this time of the year, we all have time to make sure we get the best format for the most number of riders possible to deliver great racing in Scotland.”
