KMSC Final Instructions for this weekend!

Final Instructions of the National Motorcycle Road Race meeting held at Knockhill Racing Circuit on Sunday 25th September 2011. Run by the Knockhill Motorsports Club Ltd SACU permit number 11/024. Held under the rules of the ACU Handbook and National Sporting Code 2011. (Any additional regulations pertaining to your class are in addition to the ACU Handbook and not instead of)

Paddock Parking
Access to the paddock is from 3pm – 6pm on Friday or 8am on Saturday morning.

Testing
There is a Bike Trackday with one session for racers (400cc and above) on Saturday 24th from 9am – 5pm. The cost is £90 for the full day. Pre-booking is advised as we have limited space available.

There will be a FREE OF CHARGE 10 minute session for each class on Saturday 24th September between 5pm – 6pm. F125’s will have one 10 minute and one 15 minute session.

Signing On
Signing on will take place from 4pm – 6pm on Sat 24th Sept and from 07.30am on Sunday 25th Sept at race control. Technical Inspection will be available on Saturday from 6pm – 7pm and on Sunday 25th September from 07.30am. Please ensure you have signed on before you go to Technical Inspection. All machines must go to technical inspection. If you have more than one machine please take all machines to Technical inspection at the same time. Please ensure you are wearing all your personal safety equipment (leathers, boots, gloves, dog tags, helmet). After sign on please take your scrutineering ticket to the technical inspection.

Riders Briefing
There will be a mandatory Riders Briefing in the pitlane garages at 08.15 on Sunday morning. All riders must attend this briefing.

Transponders
Please ensure you have your Transponder fitted at all times. Only the Tran X 260 Transponder may be used on any machine. Transponder hire is from Smart timing. The cost is £20. Transponder hire is limited, it is recommended that you buy your own.

Accidents
Any Rider who falls from their machine must collect a Riders Incident form from Race Control. The machine must be re-inspected by the technical inspectors. The Doctor must sign a fit to ride form and you will then take it to Race Control prior to your next race.

Holding Bay
The holding bay is in the pitlane garages. Before each race you will access the garages via the left hand lane from the paddock and park your machine in the garages (power is available for your tyre warmers to plug into). You will leave the garage area when instructed to by the KMSC Officials, complete your warm up lap and take up your grid position as qualified in rows of 4/3/4/3/4/3/4/3. After you have completed your race or if you return to the paddock early you will access the paddock via the left lane as you come off track and go to the paddock via the Technical Inspection building.

Split Grids
The F125’s and Classics will be a split grid. All other classes will go from qualifying times .

Entrance Tickets
Everyone will be asked for a ticket at the gate. If you don’t have one you will have to pay! If you require additional tickets these can be bought in advance for only £5 each (competitors only).

Grid positions
Race 1 grid positions will be determined by qualifying positions, race 2 will be from race 1 result and race 3 from race 2 results.

Points Scoring
Only Knockhill Motor Sports Club members will be entitled to score points.

Trophies
Each race with over 6 entries will have a 1st, 2nd & 3rd place trophy. If a class has less than 6 entries the winner of the class will receive a trophy.

There is also the Wullie Brown spirit of the meeting award. Presentation of awards will be in the clubhouse 30 minutes after the last race. This is where all riders will be presented with their trophies to take home.

Knox Rider of the Day
The Knox rider of the day will be chosen by the spectators via an entry box in the main reception. The winner will be announced at the prize giving in the clubhouse at the end of the day. Winner receives an Aegis back protector and a pair of Handroid gloves (worth £270).

Pit stops during warm up/qualifying
As we are now running a 10 minute untimed warm up and 10 minute timed qualifying pit stops are not allowed during these sessions.

Motorrad Central Stickers
ALL Riders in the Knockhill Superbikes and Superstock 600 races must put a Motorrad Sticker on the front screen above your number. We are very grateful to Motorrad Central for sponsoring the 2 series and helping to reduce the entry fee.

Novice Riders
All novice riders must wear an orange bib.

Clackmannanshire Bridge
We have been notified that the Clackmannanshire Bridge will be closed on Sunday 25th September (all day). Please add additional time to your journey in case of delays in and around the Bridge area.
