Rory brings some racing cheer to Rachel House.

Rory Butcher, Scotlands leading driver in the Porsche Cup which supports the British Touring Cars, paid a visit to the Children’s Hospice in Kinross this week to bring some festive cheer to the boys and girls. Rory met the dedicated team of carers and fund raisers and was impressed with the dedication, enthusiasm and passion shown by all the staff at the Hospice.

Star of the visit was 8 year old Archie who met Rory and they exchanged stories about their mutual interest in cars and racing.  Rory handed over a number of presents for the children for Christmas and appropriately enough they were Roary the Racing Car toys.

Rory said afterwards: “Its was so humbling and impressive to meet everyone today, especially young Archie.”

Knockhill Events Director Stuart Gray added: “The CHAS Mini GP earlier this year was a great fund raising event at Knockhill and we will do our part to continue to keep CHAS and their fund raising efforts in the spot light at events next year.”
