SMRC Go Motor Racing Evening – 29th November

The success of Scottish competitors in all fields of motor sport has yielded unparalleled heights in 2012 across the globe with the likes of Bathgate driver DARIO FRANCHITTI winning the INDY 500 again and our own GORDON SHEDDEN winning the British Touring Car Championship with Honda, making him only the 3rd Scot in history to do so.

The SCOTTISH MOTOR RACING CLUB is the leading racing Club in Scotland and has a long heritage of helping drivers reach the top and hosts Club championship events throughout the year at Knockhill.

The Club are hosting an information evening for interested drivers, young and not so young, on Thursday 29th November at A F NOBLE DEALERSHIP in BILSTON, nr Edinburgh from 6pm to 10pm where leading drivers with their cars, Club representatives and a Knockhill representative will be on hand to chat to aspiring racers about the classes running in Scotland, budgets, options to buy, rent or hire race cars, and the process to go through to get a racing licence. With a wide selection of classes to suit all budgets and interests, car racing can start from 16 years old with some competitors in their 70s still competing.

The SMRC are welcoming all interested drivers, prospective drivers, karters, track day drivers and even those already in motor sport wishing to switch to car racing to come along for an information sharing evening. Full details on http://www.smrc-uk.com/
