Backwards to go forward for KMSC bike racers this weekend

It’s the penultimate Knockhill Motor Sports Club bike race meeting of the season this weekend; and this time around, all the action will take place on the Reverse Circuit. As with all our KMSC events this year, Scottish Championship points will also be up for grabs for Superbike, Superstock 600 and Lightweight competitors.

Last year the reverse direction meeting ‘levelled’ the field, with a number of other competitors rising to the unique challenges of the Reverse track quicker than the established order. That event also decided the KMSC Superbike Championship in unconventional circumstances with the leading trio of riders crashing out on the very first lap of the season-defining final race; giving Bruce Birnie yet another Knockhill Motor Sports Club title without turning a wheel. This weekend should again provide an enthralling and exhilarating spectacle with 25 races set to run over the two days.

Knockhill Events Director Stuart Gray commented:

“We are all looking forward to another compelling weekend of motorsport at Knockhill.

“The Reverse Circuit provides a nice twist to both our own, and the Scottish Championship. Last year saw some sensational racing and we expect more of the same this weekend.

“It’s strange that the switch in direction can mix up the order so much and that just adds a little extra spice to activities this weekend.”

Action this weekend will involve the following classes:

KMSC/Scottish Superbike and Clubman
KMSC/Scottish Superstock 600
KMSC/Scottish Lightweights (F400,GP125,MiniTwin)

KMSC Skinner Motorcycles 125 and Classics
