Big news on the Sidecar front this weekend; former FIM World Champions and Isle of Man TT winners enter the Jock Taylor memorial race. Ben (driver) and Tom (passenger) Birchall have confirmed they will be at Knockhill this weekend to line-up on the grid to compete for theJock Taylor Memorial Trophy and the Steve Webster trophy, behind the wheel of their LCR Honda F1 Sidecar.
The brothers have been one of the top Sidecar teams in recent years and regularly feature on the World Sidecar winner’s rostrum and TT podiums. Indeed, the duo even recorded the second fastest-ever time on the Isle of Man TT circuit this year – on only their second lap of the opening race, averaging an incredible 116.060mph around the 37 mile mountain-course.
It’s not often we have Sidecar royalty at Knockhill; make sure you head along to see the world-beating pairing in action; and at only 38 and 29 respectively, it’s quite conceivable that this partnership could dominate the World-stage for years to come.
