A strong contingent of over 300 show cars, representing some of the iconic Ford models from yesteryear – including RS Escorts, Sierra Cosworths, MKII Escorts and Capris will line up in the paddocks alongside their more recent counterparts – Mondeos, Fiestas and Focuses. Ford enthusiasts will travel to Fife from all over the UK with Clubs hailing from Tyne & Weir, Durham and Northumberland all set to make the journey North.

The world-renowned M-Sport brand will also be in attendance at Ford Live with a top of the range M-Sport WRC Fiesta R5 Rally Car; additionally Knockhill will get it’s first-look at the official M-Sport road car and van. There will also be an M-Sport merchandise unit where you can purchase Ford and M-Sport branded gifts and clothing… a great addition to the event.

However, it won’t just be the thought of seeing a real-life WRC car in the flesh that will get Ford fans hot-footing it to Knockhill this weekend; there will be a superb line up of show and display cars here too. An ex-Carlos Sainz Martini liveried Ford, an RS 200, a number of WRC Focuses and Fiestas, and Colin McRae’s MKII Escort – accompanied by a similarly liveried McRae Tribute truck decked out in the famous red and black colour scheme of McRae’s own MKII.

There will be one of the most extreme drift demonstrations taking place at the Hairpin which will see an impressive WRC Escort face-off against a 600bhp MKII Escort and a WRC Fiesta R5 – it should be one of the most dramatic drift-offs we’ll see at Knockhill in 2016, and beyond most likely.

Elsewhere on track, there will be dedicated Ford only sessions as part of our Hot Hatch Trackday; which will see up to 150 drivers take on the famous twists and dips of Knockhill in their own cars – all models welcome. You might even see some of the most iconic Fords on the planet out on track for a quick blast. There will be number of parades for all the iconic show cars and of course there will be ample trade stands promoting aftercare products and accessories galore.

The Show ‘n’ Shine competitions form a huge part of the event and you’ll likely see Fords of all shapes and sizes, in every conceivable colour you could imagine, lined pristinely throughout the venue being buffed and polished to the maximum ahead of the competition – indeed you’ll find it hard to believe that some of the cars on show could be more than 40 years old – such is the care and attention these cars receive.
