Super Tourers to appear at BTCC

At this year’s Dunlop MSA British Touring Car Championship event, sponsored by Lokring Northern (UK), we’ll be doffing our caps to an important era in British Touring Car history as we display and parade a number of Super Tourers from yesteryear.

Amongst the collection we are hoping to have will be David Leslie’s Nissan Primera, an ex 888 Vectra and potentially Tom Kristensen’s Honda Accord. It’s been a while since Kristensen competed in the BTCC and the Danish driver has gone on to become one of the most respected sports cars drivers in the world – currently holding the record for the most wins at Le Mans (9). That said, Kristensen’s former BTCC car has also endured through time and to this day sports one of the all-time most memorable BTCC liveries.

In addition to an appearance at BTCC, the remnants of the Super Touring era will be back here racing on 10/11 September as the HSCC Super Touring Car Trophy comes to Knockhill. It’s been 17 years since the Super Tourers last rumbled around the tight twists and turns of Knockhill and we’re certainly looking forward to seeing these cars race at close quarters once again.
