Your help is requested for research into concussion within motor sport

We are pleased to be helping with a very important research project into the effects of concussion within motor sport. If you are a competitor in either bikes or cars, please take 5 minutes to complete the questionnaire – we have and hopefully it will lead to more knowledge about this injury.

Concussion is a growing topic in motor sport. We’ve heard from the medics, now is your chance to have a say!

My name is Stephanie Adams, I am PhD researcher at the University of Edinburgh. You are being invited to participate in a short online survey on concussion in motor sport, which is being conducted in collaboration with Professor Peter Hutchinson, Chief Medical Officer for the Formula One British Grand Prix and Professor of Neurosurgery at Addenbrooke’s Hospital, University of Cambridge, Dr Ian Roberts, FIA Formula One Medical Rescue Co-ordinator and Chair MSA Medical Panel, and Dr Paul Trafford, FIA Medical Advisor and Medical Director BTCC.

The aim of the survey is to improve our understanding about current knowledge, experience and opinions about concussion in motor sport. We aim to develop motor sport-specific resources on concussion. Your experience provides a highly valuable contribution to this research and subsequent action.
