SLS Round 2 Summary – Classes E & F

Round 2 of Super Lap Scotland, powered by Rockstar Energy Drink didn’t fail to disappoint, as we saw the title race in each of the 7 classes heat up! Classes F and E now have Renault Clios leading both categories, with drivers Neil Methven and Fraser Jamieson respectively.

In Class F, Neil Methven now boasts a 19 point lead over Suzanne Buist in her Irn Bru coloured Mini Cooper GP, after Neil took home a full points score.

Fraser Jamieson has built a 16 point gap in Class E over 2015 Champion James McEleny in his Subaru Impreza, despite James taking the victory spoils at round 2!

The question is, can the mighty Clio’s hold off the challenges from the other marques in July?! Who knows, but for now we can take a look back at round 2 to find out how the action unfolded for Classes F and E…

In a couple of weeks it’s back to Super Lap Scotland powered by Rockstar Energy Drink action at Knockhill as we play host to the first double-header of the season. Additionally, this event will also welcome the MG Trophy, Northern Saloons and Sportscar Championship and the SsangYong Racing Challenge. We saw a glimpse of this new SsangYong series last year – but this time around we’ll host the full Championship – pick-up truck racing at its best.
