Super Lap Scotland Round 1 Summary (C and D) – April 2018

Round 1 summary of the 2018 Super Lap Scotland Championship powered by Rockstar Energy Drink. This time, focusing our attention on classes C and D. With both former Champions in these respective classes moving on, the slate was clean for everyone to lay down their Championship aspirations.

In Class D, Ian Hoggins took first-blood ahead of Euan Begbie and John Wallace. A terrific achievement given the team spent the night before finishing the car – and that Ian also claimed overall victory on his first outing in SLS. In Class C, things were a little bit tighter, with a three-way tussle at the top of the timesheets. Chris Cherry would eventually get the better of Blair McConachie and Robbie Wyper. However, all the guys in Class C are more than capable of winning rounds, so expect a fraught and frantic tussle this year in what is shaping up, already, to be one of the main Classes to keep your eyes on – even after just one round.
