Rounds 2 and 3 for the drivers in classes A, B and Pro took place over the weekend of 16/17 June for the latest instalment of the 2018 Super Lap Scotland powered by Rockstar Energy Drink Series.

The double –header saw action take place on the Reverse Circuit on Saturday before switching to the traditional direction on Sunday for Round 3.

Saturday’s qualifying action in Class B saw Adam Kindness take the spoils ahead of SLS newcomer Will Robson and Andy Clotworthy. Into the final, and Adam continued to dominate crossing the line with a 1:01.270s lap in dreary conditions to take the win; with Robson once again finishing in second position just ahead of Class B newcomer Keith Cowie. Sunday’s action followed a similar vein with Kindness taking his second win of the weekend ahead of Robson and Fiona Kindness.

Moving into Class A, and well it was the Andy Forrest show. Fastest lap in the wet and dry over the entire weekend gave the Westfield driver another two class victories to his previous Pro class win earlier in the season. Eric Holmes was the runner up on Saturday despite some mechanical woes and Wayne Sutherland produced a bit of magic to finish runner up on Sunday. It’s likely that Andy Forrest will move back into pro for the upcoming rounds this weekend as he pilots both his Westfield and his World Time Attack Subaru over the course of Rounds 4 and 5.

Moving into the Pro category, it was a bit of a lonely event for David Long if truth be told – the only entry into the Pro class on Saturday gave him the outright win and despite some further competition from Paul Rankin on Sunday – Long still triumphed to take a brace of wins for the weekend, But, with a competitive looking Pro class this weekend Long will need to bring his A-game if he is to walk away with another double victory this weekend.
