Classes C and D will come to a dramatic conclusion this weekend as we play host to the final round of the 2018 Super Lap Scotland powered by Rockstar Energy Drink series at Knockhill on Sunday 9th September.
Ahead of that however, we take a loom back at Rounds 4 and 5 for Classes C & D in our latest highlights package. Round 4, took place on the Knockhill Reverse Circuit and in Class D, it was Ian Pitman who made the biggest statement of the weekend.
Taking both victory in Round 4 and backing that result up with another superb win at Round 5 on Sunday on the traditional clockwise track. Ian, now heads to the top of the Championship standings in Class D heading into the final round. However, his slender 5-point lead over Ian Hoggins will be of little comfort when we go racing this weekend. Hoggins, new to SLS this year has been a revelation and undoubtedly fight tooth and nail to cap of a stunning debut season with a Championship win this Sunday.
Things are slightly more straightforward in Class C, following Chris Cherry’s double victory at Rounds 4 and 5. He now has an unassailable lead at the head of the standings. However, there is sure to be plenty of action in Class C this weekend as Steve Arkley, Blair McConachie and David Rybowski fight for those top 3 positions.
This weekend’s event will see a whole host of additional entertainment on offer off track, as well as on it. We’ll have trackday sessions for the Clio Sport Owners’ Club, public sessions that you can drive your own car in and the following activities will ensure is plenty to do throughout the event which runs from 9am to 5pm on Sunday 9th September.

Inflatable fun, Cammy’s Magic Show, Balloon Modelling, Kevin Carmichael Stunt Shows, Costume Characters, Paul Walker Tribute, Car Show, Trade Stands, Drag Racing and Track Invasion at the end of the day.
