After 7 months of silence, Knockhill roars back to life this weekend as Motorbike Racing returns for another spectacular season. Over 130 riders are set to take part in 32 races over the weekend of 27/28 April.
British Sidecar champions Stephen Kershaw and Stuart Clark return with a brand new LCR chassis and Yamaha R6 powered machine for 2019. The 125s and F400s return to showcase some of the exciting new talent in Scottish Motorbike racing.
The CB500s boast an incredible 35-rider strong entry list ahead of this weekend, which given the equal nature of this class will make for brilliant racing. All the familiar names return, as we see the likes of champion Jodie Chalk duke it out with Keith Shepard and Allan Brookbanks.
In the Pre-Injection 600s William Mason will look to defend his title from Patryk Motyka as title-hopeful Kieran Murray is forced to watch from the sidelines after injury at Round 1. Eighteen other riders will be giving it their all in an attempt to put their name on the end of season trophy.
James McLaren moves permanently up to Scottish Formula 600 after a great year last year in F400, while Sam Munro will be the only rider from last year’s top 3 to return for 2019 in the 600s, as 2018 champion William Monie, makes the move up to the Superbike class.
Talking of Superbikes, it’s another sizeable entry for this year with 31 riders contesting the championship, with almost 50% Clubman and 50% Superbikes. The brothers of Sean and Greg Gilfillan are back again after finishing first and second last year in the championship. Clint Walker and Allan Rennie are two to watch out for this year in the Clubman class, after coming so close to the title in 2018 – could this be the year for either of them?
