Super Lap Scotland Croft Circuit Highlights

Round 2 of the Knockhill Motor Sports Club organised Super Lap Scotland powered by Rockstar Energy Drink hit the road back in May, rocking up at Croft Circuit for the series’ first-ever ‘away’ round to join the Darlington and District Motor Club event at the Dalton-on-Tees track.

It was a superb event, with several of our members being joined by some local drivers to add a bit of spice to the competition. SLS also adopted a slightly different format to that of Knockhill. Three 20-minute sessions, practice, qualifying and final would be the order of the day – with all cars on track together instead of Knockhill’s Group scenario with the fastest time in each session counting as the points-scoring time instead of the single lap effort at Knockhill.

All in all, it was a great way to broaden the horizons of the series and something that the club will be looking at very closely for 2020. However, this weekend we’re back to Knockhill for Rounds 3 and 4 of the 2019 campaign with Knockhill welcoming both the Northern Sports and Saloons Car and Junior Saloon Car Championships to Scotland for a weekend of racing on Saturday 15th and Sunday 16th June utilising both Knockhill track layouts over the course of the weekend.
