Paddock Tour on Thursday of BTCC

It’s the Thursday before the Kwik Fit British Touring Car Championship at Knockhill and we take a quick look around the paddock at some of the cars and awnings that have been set up in anticipation for a bumper weekend of motorsport at Knockhill that will see three thrilling BTCC races alongside a superb support race schedule.

Action kicks off tomorrow with further testing for most of the classes, barring the BTCC. Then as we head into Saturday we see those all important BTCC and support qualifying sessions that will determine grid positions for the opening races of the weekend for each class.

Finally, we’ll arrive into Sunday ready for a day of non-stop racing from 9am to 5pm featuring three barnstorming BTCC races that should see some ultra-competitive action out on track. Home heroes Aiden Moffat and Rory Butcher will be hoping to put on a show for home fans. Both drivers have already tested Knockhill in 2019 – albeit Aiden did test in his Mercedes race car before the team’s switch to the Infiniti.

Tickets for the event can be booked online, subject to pre-booking discounts up to midnight the night before each event day. If you are booking tickets online or by phone, all tickets will be held at the collection point on the main drive.

Everything is slowly getting into place and the drivers and team personnel will begin to arrive tomorrow in preparation for the weekend. General testing tomorrow is free of charge to attend, whilst for Saturday and Sunday ‘s action fees will apply.

We’ll be back with another update tomorrow, in the meantime, make sure you book your tickets via the link below:
