Undisputed Champion of the World, Josh Taylor caught up with DuncV for a quick catch up at Knockhill this week. Josh, popped in to watch some BSB testing action as an invited guest, so it was only fair to chat about his exploits out in Las Vegas as he cemented his place in the history books by becoming Undisputed Super Lightweight World Champion.
It’s been an incredible journey for Josh Taylor since his first professional fight back in 2015. The Prestonpans ace has gone on to claim Undisputed status in just 18 professional fights and now stakes his claim as one of the best fighters on the planet – occupying 5th place on the Ring Magazine’s All Fighters pound for pound list.
Josh has been coming to Knockhill for a number of years, ever since winning Commonwealth Gold in Glasgow back in 2014. We’ve watched from the sidelines as he’s scaled the World stage to eventually become one of the best boxers in the World. Not only that, Josh is a huge bike fan and had massive support for his recent fight from up and down the British Championship paddock.
He’s been to the Isle of Man TT, he’s even riden Rory Skinner’s British Supersport Championship bike around Knockhill and he’s even been here to watch his Dad race in the KMSC not so long ago. It’s tremendous for Josh to be finally receiving the plaudits his hard work and dedication deserve, and we can’t wait to see what’s next for Scotland’s Undisputed Champ.
