O’Halloran chasing that first-ever Knockhill win

It’s hard to believe, but Jason O’Halloran has never tasted victory around the twists and turns of Knockhill in all his years in the Bennetts BSB Championship – or in any for that matter.

Last year the Australian set the heather alight at almost every UK circuit, claiming an impressive 11 top-flight wins during a sliver laden year for the McAMS Yamaha team. Was it not for a late run of exceptional form – O’Halloran could have been the 2021 Bennetts BSB Champ instead of his teammate Tarran Mackenzie.

However, despite Knockhill never being to kind to O’Halloran, he made inroads onto the podium last year – securing a 2nd place finish in the opening race of the weekend. This year he’ll be hoping to go one better when the BSB stars line up for three exhilarating races over the course of this weekend – 17/18/19 June.

He spoke to Dunc at a recent test and the full interview can be viewed below.

Tickets for the Bennetts British Superbike Championship – AB2K Round – supported by Event Scotland can be booked online. Tickets will also be available over the course of the weekend at the gate.

Gates will open on 7:30am each day and we’d advise everyone to leave plenty of time for both your journey to and from the venue. It’s been three years since we’ve been able to host an unlimited crowd at the BSB – and with some thrilling action in store for race fans this weekend, we expect this event to be very busy… which is a good thing.

The atmosphere will be electric as we witness the best bike racers in the country fight it out over Knockhill’s 1.27 miles of tarmac. Scottish interest is strong across the classes with Tarran Mackenzie (defending champion) and Rory Skinner set to star in the headlining British Superbike class.

You can find more info online, including the race weekend timetable via our events webpage.

We can’t wait, and we hope you’ll join us.
