The Scottish Motor Racing Club are celebrating 50 years of Formula Ford racing in Scotland this Sunday. Many former champions went on to greatness at very high levels, non other than the first champion Tom Walkinshaw and his amazing career as a driver and team owner culminating with winning Le Mans and running his own Formula One team.

Long Circuit Karts return after 10 years to make SMRC David Leslie Trophy Raceday the biggest event of 2019
Knockhill is bracing itself for the return of two Long Circuit Kart Championships on the 20th and 21st July with an anticipated 60 competitors from all over the UK, Ireland and beyond swelling the regular Scottish racing paddock.
60th anniversary of Mini being celebrated at SMRC May 5th event
In 9 days time on Sunday 5th May, we welcome back the Scottish Motor Racing Club racers for Round 2 of their 2019 championships and this time the feature class is the Celtic Speed Scottish MINI Cooper Cup. Not only will there be a free Mini grid walk but also a 60th anniversary Mini gathering and parade.

The 2019 Scottish Motor Racing Club season bursts into action on Sunday 7th April for round one as over 100 of Scotland’s top racing drivers chase for championship glory at the annual Armed Forces Appreciation event. There will be many returning champions, new drivers and even a new championship for Citroen C1’s, but one long time person in Scottish motor sport and in particular, Knockhill, will be honoured as the Commentary Tower is being renamed the Garry Stagg Commentary Tower from the April 7th SMRC event onwards.
