Such is the demand and variety of action at this years Scottish Classic SpeedFair, an entirely separate action zone has been created in Paddock 2, near the Ferrari and Lotus paddocks.
Four amazing activities will take turns in entertaining the crowds in this “show within a show” area. At 3pm, an autotest display from some of the UKs finest drivers will woo the crowds with their extreme car control against the clock. Invited competitors only will compete against the clock as they demonstrate handbrake turns and reverse flicks.
A Falconry display will also feature for the first time, fresh after their success at the recent Motor Show and Truckmania. There will also be the return of the amazing wood carver Peter Boucher as he carves a Superbike rider from a solid log. Visitors last year were treated to his skill as he carved a Vanwall sports car which was signed by Sir Stirling Moss. Peter will no doubt be saying his catch phrase “can you tell what it is yet!”
Finally, the historic Frank Whittle Jet engine and Merlin aircraft engine will be powered up at selected times, truey adding to the variety and sounds of this historic day.
