Motorsport season edges ever closer

Today witnessed the first event to take place at Knockhill since the winter break. More than eighty drivers braved the weather conditions to sample their first Hot Hatch action of the 2013 season. Running alongside our regular Hot Hatch events this year will be a number of themed days, including a Ford, French, Japanese, German and Best of British Hot Hatch festival.

There will also be a number of opportunities to tackle the Reverse Circuit (March & December). Hot Hatch drivers may also be eligible to compete in a new sprint series, organised by the Knockhill Motor Sports Club and Track Scotland. The series, Super Lap Scotland, aims to find the fastest drivers in Scotland in a Time Attack style challenge. If you think you might like to take your trackday enthusiasm onto the next level, please take a few moments to check out the Super Lap Scotland website.

Safe to say it’s good to be back and we’re all looking forward to the next Hot Hatch  trackday on Sunday 24th March. The racing season will follow shortly afterwards with our first SMRC of the season on Sunday 7th April.

Thanks to all the drivers who participated today, we look forward to welcoming you back throughout the 2013 season.
