This weekend will see an amalgamation of activities on and off track at Knockhill Racing Circuit on Sunday 1st September. This is ultimately your chance to take your motorsports enthusiasm that one-step further with a series of activities that you can enjoy – for FREE!!

This event is in association with Nae Danger Energy Drinks and as a special treat, all those turning up to Knockhill with a can of Nae Danger in their hand will receive HALF PRICE admission. Instead of paying £6 on the gate, you’ll get entry for £3.

These FREE activities will run alongside the following elements:

Super Lap Scotland Championship Finale – Scotland’s newest lap-time challenge Championship will come to a conclusion this weekend. A championship specifically aimed at closing the gap between trackday driving and full-blown circuit racing. All in association with RA Motorsport Developments.

Hot Hatch Track Sessions – We will also be running two, two-hour Hot Hatch track sessions for all those looking to get out on track in their own cars. Sessions can be booked in advance and spaces are limited. As of today we only have 14 spaces available in the 9.30am to 11.30am session and 16 in the 2.30pm to 4.30pm session. Prices are as follows: (one session) £50 in advance / £60 on the day AND (both sessions) £80 in advance / £90 on the day. Pre-booking is advised and can be done via our Trackdays website.

Barrel Run – Organised by the Glenrothes Car Club, the Barrel Run is exactly what it sounds like. Competitors have to navigate round a series of barrels in their cars in the quickest time. You’ve probably seen a horse riding equivalent, well this is exactly the same; just performed in your own car.

Professional Drifting – We will have a number of British Drifting competitors out on track demonstrating their skills ahead of the British Drift Championships on Sunday 22nd September.

Professional Drag – We will have the Flyin Fyfer (Drag Car) and others show casing their phenomenal speed and power on track, these 1200bhp monsters will literally roar up the main straight at Knockhill. Well worth the £6 entry fee on its own.

Speed Camera – Just for a spot of fun the MTS Speed Camera will be back in operation this weekend. All the trackday, drag and SLS competitors will be able to see what speed their cars are clocking as the head up the main straight. Always an interesting addition.

Passenger Rides – A number of SMRC racers will also be on hand offering Charity Passenger rides around the Knockhill track in fully-prepared, Scottish Championship race cars. Sign up on the day, fees apply.

FREE activities that spectators can get involved in:

SLS Tester Sessions – Unfortunately as previously advertised the SLS Tester Sessions will not take place this weekend. However, there will be plenty of people you can talk to if you are interested in taking your track driving exploits to the next level.

However, if you’d like to display your car/club this weekend then you can do so free of charge. Simply download the registration form and send back to Lynsey. The only cost will be your £6 gate entry (£3 if you have a can of Nae Danger)
