Action from Classes Pro, A and B from the latest Super Lap Scotland powered by Rockstar Energy Drink double-header that saw both track configurations of Knockhill used throughout the weekend of 8/9 July.

Andy Forrest entered the latest incarnation of his Subaru Impreza that is currently on route to Australia to participate in the World Time Attack event on 13-14 October… an incredible machine and everyone at SLS wishes him well in Sydney.

In Pro Class, Colin Dorward underlined his Championship credentials with another two impressive wins, ahead of his main rival Paul Rankin. Dorward heads into the upcoming three rounds with healthy 67-point advantage, but a mechanical gremlin or an off in the SLS final could quickly see that advantage evaporate. And, with more and more entrants coming to the Pro class as the season progresses… we could still be in for some fireworks yet.

In A Class, the season long battle between John Stevenson and Archie Bain continued at the July rounds. However, the Sunday event saw a new name at the top of the time sheets, with Steven Jefferies taking a win at a wet Knockhill – albeit in a non-points scoring capacity. The title though, will still come down to Stevenson or Bain… watch this space.

In Class B, Adam Kindness has overhauled George Rigby’s early season lead and with just 24-points separating the pair heading into the closing stages of the season – the Class B honors could go either way. There’s still likely a few twists and turns in the road ahead for both competitors; however, it will be interesting to see who comes out on top come September 17th – the final round of SLS 2017.

Remember, we are just a few days away from rounds 5 and 6 of the 2017 Super Lap Scotland Championship, powered by Rockstar Energy Drink; set to take place on 26/27 August – an event that will also feature the British Sprint Championship and a German Car Show.
