Glenn Irwin tops morning warm up for 2018

Be Wiser Ducati rider Glenn Irwin set the fastest time in morning warm up with a time of 47.363s, despite cooler temperatures and windier conditions at Knockhill this morning.

Irwin’s pace, wasn’t quite as fast as the qualifying time set by Jake Dixon – that incredible 47.1s effort on his RAF Regular and Reserve Kawasaki, however, we know from the previous test and from the weekend that Irwin can consistently run at the 47.6/7s pace – which is the expected race pace today.

Haslam

JG Speedfit Kawasaki duo of Leon Haslam and Luke Mossey finished the session in p2 and p3 respectively – a big jump up the order for Luke and perhaps those additional few hours of rest have done his injury woes the world of good. Danny Buchan, fastest-man on Friday, rounded out the session in p4 joining no less that 14 other riders on the 47s bracket

Josh Brookes, the man who lines up in P2 for today’s opening race at 13.30, finished the session in 7th place on a 47.762 lap. There were notable improvements from James Ellison (P9) and Peter Hickman who rounded out the session in 13th place.

With nine riders running that expectant 47.6s lap pace, the races are looking likely to highly competitive battles with a number of teams with a genuine chance of winning races and scoring those all-important podium credits that are vital for making it into the end of season showdown.

With two feature Bennetts BSB races and a number of top class support races coming up today, get yourselves along for a fantastic day of racing around the undulating Knockhill track.
