Midweek BTCC catch up

It’s Wednesday and it’s been all hands to the pump this week putting the final preparations in place for the return of the Kwik Fit British Touring Car championship this weekend. There’s lots of boxes checked off the to-do list and now we look ahead to the final few days of the week and towards the weekend when the action will all kick off.

Tickets for the event are selling fast, camping is sold out and we are all looking forward to a fantastic atmosphere this weekend around the venue. The action on track will be top class as usual with several Scots set to lock horns on the BTCC grid. We’ll have Gordon Shedden, Aiden Moffat and Rory Butcher to cheer on this weekend, as well as a multi-talented line-up in some very competitive cars.

The support class racing will be fantastic too, with British F4, Ginetta Juniors, Ginetta GT4s and the Mini Challenge – with more than a handful of local drivers looking to make their mark on home turf this weekend. Additionally, in the Porsche Carrera Cup GB races we’ll see young sensation Harry King face off with multiple Porsche Championship winner Dan Cammish as well as others. Indeed, King is playing catch up this weekend with three drivers ahead of the Team Parker Racing ace (Jewiss (P1), Hanafin (p2) and Cammish (P3) with a solitary point separating the top three in the title standings.

All-in-all, we’re set for a superb weekend of action, hopefully you can all join us. We’ll be doing a daily update from the Circuit all week, with resident host Duncan Vincent. You can check out the previous episodes above and we look forward to how the action all unfolds at the weekend.

Tickets can be booked online via the Knockhill website:
