The motor sports workshop is the ideal course for any motor sports enthusiast keen to learn and practice professionally used techniques. The workshop will put you through your paces challenging you to capture images of professional racers in high speed and high octane racing, at some of the leading race circuits in the UK.

- Composition for Motorsports
- Panning Techniques
- Lenses & Focusing
- Using post production
Throughout the day you will be taken to various vantage points around the circuit to practice specific techniques that will ensure you walk away with a variety of fabulous images. Cost is £149pp and the first date will be Sunday 1st May at the SMRC car meeting.
Who will be there on the day?
Throughout the day you’ll receive expert tuition by one or more of our award wining training team with backgrounds in motorsports photography. All of our Trainers at the Academy are highly skilled and knowledgeable to ensure you get the best from the day.
Suggested Equipment / Knowledge
No previous knowledge of motorsports / sports photography is required, we do however recommend that you have basic knowledge of Aperture, Shutter, ISO and are comfortable to control these functions on your camera. If you would like to learn more about these topics we would recommend attending our Photography Level 1 course.
As for equipment; We recommend that you bring spare batteries, your charger plenty and of course plenty of memory card space. Its all advisable to have a lens or lenses that give flexibility in focal length, specifically Telephoto, bringing you closer to the action. Prior to the course, your Trainer will contact you to make sure that you have everything you need before you arrive on the day.
